Lynk & Co is set to prove that you can enjoy similar features at a much more affordable price. The new 07 GT starts at 165,800 yuan (approximately €21,400) in China, and even the most powerful Limited Edition with 530 PS and all-wheel drive costs merely 208,800 yuan (around €27,000). Remarkably, all 1,007 units of this special edition were sold out during the launch.
Up to 200 km without a Drop of Gas
The range is particularly impressive. All variants come with a 28.3 kWh battery. Tests indicate that the front-wheel-drive models can drive up to 200 kilometers on electric power alone—ideal for daily commutes without petrol. When combined with the combustion engine, the total range extends to an astounding 1,422 kilometers. Even the most power-thirsty version achieves up to 170 kilometers of electric driving and a total of 1,315 kilometers.
Astonishing Technology Features
At first glance, the pricing for the Lynk & Co 07 GT seems surprisingly low, especially considering the extensive features included as standard. A 15.4-inch infotainment display, a powerful processor, and a LiDAR sensor mounted on the roof to assist driving aid systems come standard. Additional refinements include frameless doors, an adaptive suspension system, and leather seats with electric adjustment and ventilation. The more powerful variants feature advanced shock absorbers that adapt the suspension in response to road conditions within moments.
Ample Space for Family and Luggage
The 07 GT is designed with practicality in mind. With a length of 4.85 meters and a wheelbase of 2.84 meters, it offers similar space to the BMW 3 Series Touring. While it isn’t among the largest estates on the market, the new Aistaland GT7 exceeds five meters in length. The trunk capacity measures at 614 liters, making it suitable for family journeys. Lynk & Co effectively combines the traits of an estate with the performance of a sports car and an electric range that surpasses some fully electric vehicles.
Currently, the Lynk & Co 07 GT is primarily slated for the Chinese market, and it remains uncertain whether the manufacturer will introduce it in Europe. If it does, the model would compete in the upper mid-range against estates like the Mercedes C-Class T-Model or the Audi A5 Avant. Transport costs, tariffs, and stringent regulations would likely increase the price, but it could present formidable competition for established brands.
Lynk & Co is no stranger to European consumers anymore.
