In a key clash for salvation, Il Bisonte Firenze prevailed over Wash4green Pinerolo away. Not enough for the hosts Davyskiba (22 points), Malual (14) and D’Odorico (14), given the extraordinary performance of Knollema (29 points, top scorer, 60% in attack and MVP) who turns almost all the balls received into gold. Florence, also better at serving and blocking, with these 3 golden points surpasses Monviso, reaching 18 points, separating the hosts by 3 points.

In a very balanced match, in the end it was Chieri, not without difficulty, who took home the match in the tie-break. Precisely in the fifth set the Piedmontese managed to have that extra edge which allowed them to get back on track in a match where they started as favourites. Bergamo found themselves forcing themselves at the tie-break, making 4 errors, while Negro’s girls managed to manage the final part of the match better. Thanks to these two points the Piedmontese manage to hold third place in the standings at 40 points, while Bergamo is seventh at 21 points, one more than Cuneo who came back from behind after two consecutive victories. Van Aalen’s match was very good and he was eventually awarded MVP of the match.

The battleship Savino del Bene sinks the freshman San Giovanni in Marignano with a clear and peremptory 3-0. Nothing to do for the girls led by Serena Ortolani who, despite fighting until the end, could do nothing against the supremacy of the new world champions. The superiority is above all in the block phase, with Nwakalor the absolute protagonist (5 blocks out of Scandicci’s 10 total). Antropova top scorer with 16 scores, followed by Nwakalor and Skinner (both 13), thanks to the balls made available by the immortal Ognjenovic, MVP of the match. With this victory there are 46 points for Scandicci, excellent in terms of the standings, while the Romagna team remains last with 10.

Well done, therefore, for the home sextet to close the match, obtaining a 3-point victory which guarantees them to keep Scandicci at a distance. 25 balls were knocked down by Gabi, the record for points scored in a single match in Conegliano, with Wolosz distributing balls to her teammates and delighting the spectators with great plays (eventually awarded MVP). For Novara, 31 points for Tolok, also the record for points with Novara in a single race. The home team did better in the blocking phase (12-5), as well as in the offensive phase (47%) and receiving (54%). 49 points for Conegliano, while for Novara the points remain 39, overtaken by Chieri and Milan.

Playoff hit for Vallefoglia, which beats Busto 3-0, achieving the seventh consecutive victory in the championship and confirming itself among the hottest teams of the moment. More balanced match than the score says, with the Avanti Megabox in the first and third sets and the never taming butterflies that return, even if the hosts in the final find a way to close the partials in their favor thanks to an always balanced attack. Uyba tries, even in the role of hare in the second set, but at a distance she drops in attack in key moments.
