In Semmering the Croatian recorded the best time in both the first and second heats, ahead of Lena Dürr and Katharina Liensberger

December 29 – 3.08pm – MILAN

Zrinka Ljutic ends 2024 by winning the Semmering slalom and thus achieving her first World Cup victory, after four seconds and a third place. The twenty-year-old Croatian recorded the best time in both heats, setting the clock at 1’43″33 and leaving the German Lena Dürr at 1″75 and the Austrian Katharina Liensberger at 1″85. Swiss Camille Rast is fourth and thus returns to the top of the general ranking. However, there was nothing to be done for Martina Peterlini, the only Italian to qualify for the second heat thanks to her eleventh time in the middle of the race: she slipped in the second half.

the rankings

2024 therefore ends with Camille Rast at the top of the general classification with 351 points, 17 more than Ljutic herself; Federica Brignone is third with 319. Rast also maintains the red bib of slalom leader with 255 points but sees Dürr (235) and Ljutic (209) getting closer. The Women’s World Cup will resume on 4 and 5 January 2025 in Kranjska Gora (Slovenia) where a giant slalom and a slalom are scheduled.
