Two-time world footballer Alexia Putellas will not be available to world champion Spain for the next two Nations League games against Italy on Friday (9:30 p.m.) and Sweden on December 5th (7:00 p.m.). As the Spanish association and her club, FC Barcelona, announced on Monday, Putellas must continue to take a break due to her ongoing knee injury.
Putellas suffered the injury on November 14th in the 5-0 Champions League win against Benfica Lisbon and should “continue her recovery process with her club” instead of international matches, the association said.
