Against Sweden, the German national women had to take a bitter defeat. The TV quota didn’t hurt that.

Top quota despite defeat: The last group game of the German footballers at the European Championship in Switzerland watched 7,662 million people live on ZDF on Saturday. The 1: 4 against Sweden was a bitter setback for the DFB selection, but gave the broadcaster a market share of 37.9 percent.

The game was the most watched TV show of the day. The game pursued more than twice as many people as the ARD film “The Diplomatin-missed almost simultaneously-missing in Rome”.

A few days ago, the 2-1 victory over Denmark saw an average of 7.022 million fans in the first. The 2-0 opening success of Poland at the beginning of the month even had an average of 8.221 million people in the ARD.
