At the end of the 8th matchday, after a hard-fought game, the scoreboard in Freiburg’s Dreisamstadion read 3:3 (2:1). The hosts are in ninth place with nine points, Cologne one place and one point ahead.
The sports club got into the game better: Marie Müller took the lead with a hand penalty (34th), Hasret Kayikci added from close range (39th). But the Cologne team shortened the score before the break through Martyna Wiankowska (45th + 2, penalty kick). Meike Meßmer (72nd) and Adriana Achcinska (76th) initially even turned the game around. But Giovanna Hoffmann (83′) equalized for Freiburg with a deflected shot.
