Woman races across Balloërveld: police confiscate driver’s license

A 32-year-old woman from Veendam was able to hand in her driver’s license this afternoon after driving too fast on the Gasterenseweg between Gasteren and Loon. The police caught her when she was driving 115 kilometers per hour.

On the road that runs through the Balloërveld nature reserve, you are allowed a maximum of 60. Whether the woman will be fined or appear in court will be determined later.

Last weekend, two speed demons lost their driving license in the municipality of Aa and Hunze. They were transferred from the N33 at Rolde and the Ir. WIC from Veelenweg at Gasselternijveen.
