The police checked the woman on Molenstraat on Saturday afternoon because of her driving behavior. She blew so much during the breath test that the police were also amazed. “With this result she is at the top of this year’s list. Let’s hope that no one wants to break this ‘record’,” writes the police on Facebook.
She had the equivalent of 2.9 permille of alcohol in her blood. In the Netherlands you are not allowed to get behind the wheel with more than 0.5 per mille. Her driver’s license has been confiscated.
Alcohol addiction
The woman says she struggles with an alcohol addiction. “We sincerely wish her a lot of strength and success in working on her alcohol addiction. At the same time, we hope that she will not get behind the wheel again,” the police said.
