A woman was killed in a collision in IJmuiden last night. Her dog also did not survive the blow. The police have arrested three suspects.
The accident happened around 10:50 p.m. on IJmuiderstraatweg. The seriously injured woman was still alive when the emergency services arrived, but died soon after. Her dog also died shortly after the collision.
The car and driver involved were nowhere to be seen. The police started a search and called through Burgernet to look out for a ‘black vehicle’ with considerable damage to the front.
Three suspects
At around 00:30 last night, the police reported that three people had reported to the station in connection with the fatal collision. They have been arrested and their involvement is being investigated.

The police have also seized a car that may have been involved in the collision. According to witnesses, the car was found on the Schiplaan.
