A 58-year-old woman was seriously injured in a house fire in Wijnendale near Torhout on Friday morning. The fifty-something woman was in her bed when the fire broke out and was unable to leave the house independently. The fire brigade had to force open the front door and rescue her from the burning house. She suffered serious burns, among other things.
