No summer Sunday without outdoor pool escalation! In the Neukölln summer swimming pool on Columbiadamm, a dispute on a slide ended with a broken nose in a 21-year-old and a larger police operation!

As a week earlier, fun with water spray guns is said to have become brutally serious, the police said on Monday.

Broken nose on the water slide

Children are said to have sprayed a 21-year-old and her friends with water pistols. A dispute ensued, initially verbal, which escalated when a man between the ages of 35 and 40 got involved.

The police said he held a water gun right in front of the young woman’s face and pulled the trigger. The 21-year-old is said to have spat on the man. He in turn struck with the spray gun. broken nose!

Riot with 250 people

According to the police, there was a tumult while the two officers were still recording the incident on the slide. Backgrounds? Not clear!

250 bathers then harassed the two police officers and other security forces, disregarding the instructions of the staff. The pool was then closed by the security chief, much to the displeasure of the crowd.

Only when other police forces arrived did all bathers really leave the outdoor pool.

When two police officers approached the outdoor pool to resolve the dispute, there was already no trace of the perpetrator.

The investigations – including dangerous bodily harm and breach of the peace – are ongoing.

Mass brawl a week earlier

Just over a week ago there was a mass brawl with injuries and an arrest in the summer pool at the islander in Berlin-Steglitz. At summery the bath was hopelessly crowded, as the fists follow.

More than 100 young men were involved. The brawl was also triggered there by the spraying with water pistols.

After the incident, the pool companies decided to increase the security forces in the outdoor pools at the weekend.

According to a spokesman, depending on the size of the bathroom, two to six security guards have been present. “We have also strengthened the security staff for the coming weekend and agreed with the security companies that the security forces have a stronger de-escalating effect,” he writes.

Apparently that didn’t help much…
