“Big Nick meets again in St. James’ Park,” the Newcastle United wrote on the X. The commentator of the live game at Sky Sports said: “It’s a big, big goal for a big, big man.”

Woltemade made his strong debut for the ambitious Premier League club: At his home premiere in St. James’ Park two weeks ago, the 23-year-old also hit his head, which had helped the magpies to three points.

After the goal at the referee, the Arsenal players complained about a foul by the German, who had easily gave himself against Gabriel in front of the header with his hands. A short time later, Woltemade complained to Word- and gesture with Gabriel that he had tackled him unfairly in the neck area during a duel. When the Arsenal professional finally handed the hand to reconciliation, Woltemade did not hit.

Arsenal was unlucky after a quarter of an hour when a penalty whistle was withdrawn after video evidence. Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope had apparently still played the ball with the tip of the foot on the Started Viktor Gyökeres in front of the foul.

Pope later also showed some spectacular parades, but in the end had to grab twice. The German central defender Malick Thiaw made a good game in the Newcastle defense.
