Despite his next goal, Nick Woltemade has it Newcastle United in the Premier League have to accept defeat.
The German national soccer player scored with a backheel in the 76th minute on Saturday (October 17th, 2025) to make it 1-1 Brighton & Hove Albion. The hosts, coached by former St. Pauli coach Fabian Hürzeler, ultimately won 2-1 (1-0) at home. The man of the match was Danny Welbeck with his two goals in the 41st and 84th minutes.
Fourth goal for Woltemade
After his important 1-0 winning goal for the German national team in the World Cup qualifier in Northern Ireland, Woltemade was successful for the fourth time for his new club.
The attacker, who came from VfB Stuttgart, spectacularly extended a cross from the right side into the net with a heel. Ultimately, that wasn’t enough against Hürzeler’s team, which had previously had the same number of points and had improved into the upper midfield. Newcastle remains behind with nine points for the time being.
