Regis Rimbert, Chief Executive Officer of Wolford AG, is leaving the board of the Austrian laundry provider. The current CEO will step down from his position on January 17, the company announced in an ad hoc announcement on Tuesday.
Rimbert has served as Chief Transformation Officer on the Board of Directors of Wolford AG since May 2024 and was appointed CEO in June 2024 for a period of three years. On Tuesday, however, the supervisory board accepted Rimbert’s resignation request, which he had submitted on the same day.
Resignation after 6 months
The outgoing CEO, who is leaving the company after less than a year at the helm, succeeded Silvia Azzali last summer. At that time, Azzali had agreed with the supervisory board to amicably terminate her position on the board.
Rimbert’s term in office was marked by significant challenges. Wolford closed the first six months of the current 2024 financial year with a significant decline in sales. The company also recently admitted to “unforeseen complications” that led to “longer-than-expected delays” in orders in recent months. These problems caused public criticism from dissatisfied customers about the brand’s delivery service.
On an interim basis, Andrea Rossi, currently Wolford’s Global Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed Interim General Manager. Nothing is known about Rimbert’s next professional steps. Before working at Wolford, he gained management experience at renowned companies such as the Prada Group and Christian Dior.
