The fashion retailer Wöhrl is entering into a partnership with the sporting goods manufacturer and dealer Decathlon in his parent company Nuremberg. This partnership stipulates that Decathlon will open a new branch in the basement of Wöhrl on Ludwigsplatz by the end of 2025 on around 2,900 square meters.

The Young Fashion concept U-Eins previously located in the basement is integrated into the existing women’s and men’s departments by Wöhrl.

In addition to the new sports area and the Wöhrl ranges, a branch of the shoe retailer Tretter, the luxury women’s concept Purrucker, two gastronomic offers with the vegan café the green and the young Café Au Lait, a Nespresso flagship store, and other offers, will be located on the 30,000 square meters of the total area.

Thomas Weckerlein, CEO of Wöhrl: “It includes continuously increasing the shopping experience at Wöhrl by the integration of external partner in 2022. has grown up around 20 years after the start.

Steffen Böhm, expansion manager of Decathlon Germany, particularly emphasizes the attractive location: “Nuremberg is a central location in Bavaria for us. The high passer -by frequency at Ludwigsplatz, the radiance of the house Wöhrl and the close partnership with a regionally deeply rooted fashion dealer enable us to inspire even more people for sports – right in the heart of the city.”

As Wöhrl recently announced, the trading house will also open an outlet in the former Kaufhof building in late summer in the Nuremberg City.
