They now receive financial support and professional guidance towards international qualifying competitions. They are being prepared for the modern pentathlon, with hopefully a ticket for LA in 2028 as the ultimate goal.
“We want to get local talent to the highest sporting podium in the world,” says the Roeselare-Izegem Young Economic Chamber. “There is still enormous room for growth, and because they are walking the path together, they will make each other stronger,” he said. “We really believe we can get someone to the starting line in Los Angeles.”
