The Austrian started his coaching career in 2015 in his own country with third division club SV Lafnitz. After four seasons he moved to Wolfsberger AC, in the Austrian Bundesliga. He also gained European experience with Wolfsberger. In the 2021-2022 season, Feldhofer became the head of his former club Rapid Wien. After a season he moved to Tbilisi, Georgia, where Cercle has now stolen him.
Feldhofer was briefly on the shortlist at KV Kortrijk last season, but Alexandersson was ultimately preferred there.
