At the beginning of November, the Wish Ambulance drove to Pantropica in Luttelgeest. On board was Marlies Doornbos-Kamps with her brother, their sick mother between them. On the way to a last family day with children and grandchildren.
“It was completely taken care of, that was great,” Doornbos-Kamps reflects. “It did us a lot of good. The best part was that my mother was happy.”
An afternoon was enough, that’s all her mother had taken. “We couldn’t have done this without the ambulance. You don’t have to worry about anything and can enjoy the day. And it’s completely free,” Doornbos-Kamps says gratefully. “We did make a donation after that time.”
