Anyone who doesn’t have to go on the road on Saturday can enjoy the white winter landscape with peace of mind. Showers with snow are again sweeping across Brabant. The temperature is favorable for those who want to make a snowman, because it will not melt away for a while. The KNMI has declared code orange due to slippery conditions.

Where it snows heavily, five to ten centimeters of snow can fall. The temperature hangs around freezing during snow showers. This allows the snow to remain for a longer period of time.

Code orange for those who go on the road
Due to the winter weather, the KNMI has declared code orange for Brabant, Gelderland, Utrecht, North and South Holland. This applies until the end of the morning.

Road users must take into account slippery conditions due to snow and freezing of wet road sections.

Air traffic may be hindered
Eindhoven Airport is warning about winter weather conditions.

Flights may be delayed or cancelled.

Greater chance of slipperiness
Since Friday evening, Rijkswaterstaat has spread more than 6 million kilos of salt and has since driven a total of more than 70,000 kilometers.

The traffic service previously warned that on quiet traffic days the risk of slippery conditions is even greater. The sprinkled salt will then not be broken in as well.
