Dell wants to bring artificial intelligence devices especially to workplaces.

Computer manufacturer Dell seems to be charging high expectations for the end of support for Windows 10 later this year. The issue came up at the current CES event in Las Vegas.

Information technology publication Neo’s writes that a Dell representative Sam Burd appeared at CES together with AMD Jack Huynh with. Dell and AMD have recently signed a partnership agreement.

In the conversation between the two, Burd was excited about the new so-called Copilot Plus computers.

The vast majority of devices using Windows still run on Windows 10. Statistics website Statcounter’s estimate more than 60 percent of Windows users still rely on Windows 10, while Windows 11’s share is around 34 percent.

Some of the current devices cannot be updated to Windows 11 either, because its technical requirements are too high compared to the previous operating system.

Dell hopes that customers in this situation will purchase a Copilot Plus computer – and of course a model manufactured by Dell.

Burd suggests that Dell is particularly interested in bringing artificial intelligence machines to the workplace.

“We need to make it easier for CIOs to implement AI models, and from our time with customers, we know how complex that is. So we make it easier to implement artificial intelligence on a PC with Dell Pro AI Studio”, reads Burd’s statement from CES quoted by Neowin.

Dell Pro AI Studio is part of Dell AI Factory. The company has threatened that it will reduce the time required for development and implementation in companies by three quarters.

So is Microsoft self-patched Windows 10 users to get a new device if the current one is not enough to run Windows 11. Microsoft has also tightened its position and confirmed that Windows 11’s hardware requirements are not easing.

Neowin also cites a warning that cybersecurity company Eset recently issued to Windows 10 users.

If the device cannot be updated to Windows 11, it is not worth continuing to use 10, which is no longer supported. Eset recommends changing the device’s operating system to a Linux distribution instead.
