On the Hoofdweg (N919) in Veenhuizen, a scheduled bus crashed on an excavator on Friday morning. The accident happened around 11 am, on a part of the road where work took place at that time.
The excavator was loading a truck when the scheduled bus collided on the back of the vehicle. In addition, a window was killed, so that a lot of glass ended up on the road.
Both the bus driver and the crane operator have been checked by ambulance personnel. The passengers on the bus have also been checked. Nothing is yet known about injury.
The police are investigating how the accident could happen.
