At the end of the day, the Netherlands will have to deal with a storm: Louis. According to Weeronline, there have been strong winds, heavy showers and heavy gusts of wind in the west since late afternoon.
By mid-evening, the entire country must expect heavy wind gusts of more than 80 kilometers per hour.
There is a chance of storms on the coast. In the coastal provinces and around the IJsselmeer, wind gusts of 100 to 110 kilometers per hour can occur. Inland, there is a chance of wind gusts of 90 to 100 kilometers per hour during heavy showers. The KNMI has issued a code yellow for the evening due to (very) heavy wind gusts from the southwest to west.
The wind will decrease in strength at the beginning of the night towards Friday.
