Wimbledon: Jule Niemeier’s hand fully resilient again

Tennis pro Jule Niemeier is optimistic on the way to Wimbledon.

After her fall in Berlin and the subsequent cancellation of participation in Bad Homburg, Niemeier’s hand was now fully resilient again during strength training, confirmed Michael Geserer when asked by “SID”.

According to the founder and managing director of the TennisBase in Regensburg, where Niemeier trains, the 23-year-old has not yet completed units on the court again.

Physiotherapist Florian Zitzelsberger is satisfied with the healing process, everything is going according to plan.

Niemeier suffered a sprained wrist in the round of 16 duel with the Czech Marketa Vondrousova in Berlin last Thursday and had to retire.

Last year, she caused a stir at Wimbledon when she reached the quarter-finals. This year’s edition of the tournament starts on Monday.
