Wimbledon fines Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitsipas for unsportsmanlike conduct | Sport

Kyrgios and Tsitsipas faced each other on Saturday in the third round of the grand slam tournament in London. Kyrgios asked the referee to punish Tsitsipas for hitting a ball in the stands. Tsitsipas, in turn, received a warning after trying to hit Kyrgios a few times.

Tsitsipas accused his opponent of ‘bullying behavior’ at the press conference afterwards, which was laughed off by the Australian. Kyrgios won the match 6-7 (2) 6-4 6-3 7-6 (7) and thus qualified for the eighth finals, in which he plays against American Brandon Nakashima. The Australian tweeted a smiley after the fine tonight.
