It is a very difficult time for Willibrord Frequin (80) now that his body is deteriorating rapidly. He has been suffering from an aggressive form of Parkinson’s disease for some time now. At home in Laren, there is little left of the once flamboyant, lively and above all brutal presenter. “The end of my life is in sight. I don’t want to dwell on it and try to enjoy it a little more,” Willibrord says in the presence of his wife Gesina Lodewijkxs, who lovingly takes care of him day in, day out.
