The former Chelsea professional Willian is back in Brazil. After his end of the contract at FC Fulham in June, the 37-year-old now signed at Grêmio until the end of 2026. As first reported “The Athletic”, the club confirmed a little later. According to the report, Willian also had offers from the Middle East and the USA.

Willian left his youth club Corinthians in 2007 for 14 million euros to Shakhtar Donetsk. In 2022, after stations at Anzhi, Chelsea as well as arsenal and paid detachment of EUR 84.5 million, the return to Corinthians followed. After his contract was dissolved at Olympiacos in January 2025 after just half a year, he started a second attempt at Fulham FC, for which he completed twelve missions in the second half of the season. The switch to Grêmio is his sixth transfer -free transfer in a row.

After 21 games, Grêmio takes 13th place in Série A. Willian meets Carlos Vinícius, who came from Fulham free of charge. With the attacker, the 70-time national player of Brazil was 25 times together for the Londoners.
