Will Serhou Guirassy stay? That’s what Alexander Wehrle says

VfB Stuttgart is the surprise team in the Bundesliga. The Swabians have gone from being almost relegated to becoming a Champions League candidate. But success also arouses desire. Goal scorer Serhou Guirassy is being heavily courted. Can the attacker still be kept beyond the winter? Chairman of the Supervisory Board Alexander Wehrle has now responded to exactly this question.

“Serhou decided to join VfB Stuttgart in the summer, even though he had offers from clubs abroad where he could have earned significantly more money,” Wehrle told “Bild”.

Guirassy feels “at home here with his family and plays an important role in the team,” emphasized the VfB official: “He really appreciates that. First and foremost, he cares about playing football and scoring goals. Serhou wants to play in a team that works. He repeatedly emphasizes in discussions that he feels very comfortable at VfB.”

Wehrle continued that he sees “no other signs at the moment” than that Guirassy will stay at VfB Stuttgart. The 27-year-old has already scored 19 competitive goals this season and has therefore played a major role in the Swabians being in third place in the Bundesliga and in the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup.

VfB Stuttgart or Premier League?

Guirassy still has a contract with VfB Stuttgart until 2026. However, an exit clause should be anchored in the working paper, which enables an early departure. According to media reports, the fixed transfer fee is said to be around 20 million euros.

According to “The Sun”, the center forward is leaning towards a move to Tottenham Hotspur if he leaves. Manchester United, Newcastle United and West Ham United have also recently been linked with Guirassy. VfB Stuttgart is looking forward to an exciting transfer winter.
