Bossut was attracted to Club Brugge last week, to temporarily compensate for the failure of third keeper Josef Bursik. But when the Bruges selection arrived this week at the training camp in Sint-Michiels-Gestel, Bossut was nowhere to be seen. Now it is clear why.
The 37-year-old Oostrozebekenaar had not received a new contract with Zulte Waregem after seventeen years of loyal service, but did not want to say goodbye to football yet. He was also in the picture as a goalkeeper coach at Club NXT, but still prefers to continue his active career at a lower level.
