Emma Meesseman from Ypres is barely 30 years old but has already amassed an impressive list of achievements. Since 2010 she has been a member of the national basketball team, the Belgian Cats, where she emerged as one of the strong players. This year the Cats also won gold at the European Championship. During her career she has already made waves with international teams from Russia and Turkey. She has also been in the spotlight in the WNBA in the US. Four years ago she played champion there and was the first European player ever to be voted Most Valuable Player in the final.
