Four months after fans of the James Bond series criticized the deal between Amazon MGM and the producer Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, in which creative control over the 007 franchise was given, hope is now in sight-in the form of the renowned director Denis Villeneuve.

In a statement, Villeneuve explained that some of his “earliest cinema memories were connected to 007” and that he “saw the James Bond films with my father since ‘Dr. No’ with Sean Connery”.
