A report connects FC Bayern with a star attacker from the Premier League. Max Eberl comments on speculation – and also talks about a possible departure.

The message caused a sensation on Thursday evening: FC Bayern is said to be interested in striker Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea. According to a report by Sky, the German record champion is said to have inquired at the Premier League top club with regard to the Senegalese, which is about to say goodbye to the “Blues”.

After the 4: 0 of the Munich in the test game against Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern sports director Max Eberl commented on the rumors-with clear words: “Definitely no,” Eberl said after the game in the Mixed Zone when asked whether there was something in the rumbling of Jackson. And further: “I never spoke to him.”

A clear Dementi from the Bayern boss. Jackson, who was involved in 19 goals in 37 competitive games last season (13 goals, 6 templates), will probably leave Chelsea – but not towards Munich.

The 51-year-old was also clear about the persistent transfer transferred around Nick Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart-and indicated that it might not work with a change of the new international this summer: “We represented our point of view, we tried to talk to Stuttgart-that is not to be signaled-so I can’t say anything about it at the moment.”

Is FC Bayern still leaving a star? Most recently, defender Min-Jae Kim was considered a candidate for sales, and he has currently lost his regular place in the central defense of the eleven of Vincent Kompany. “We are currently very happy and very satisfied with the squad we have,” said Eberl. “But of course someone comes and says: I really want to leave the club – then we have to think again.” He does not see great need for further changes to the squad: “We are just relaxed and are waiting for what happens.”

With Kim’s defense colleague Dayot Upamecano, on the other hand, Bayern apparently want to continue working together in concrete terms. “At UPA, the goal is that we want to extend,” said Eberl about the French, whose contract expires after the coming season.

Upamecano himself came into the mixed zone shortly after Eberl and said on the subject of contract extension: “I am totally satisfied here. There are now conversations with Max, Christoph and my consultant. Let’s see what happens.”
