Wiebes wins longest stage ever in women’s cycling, Vos retains yellow | Cycling

Longest ride also marred by a massive crash in the middle of the peloton

The fifth stage in the Tour de France Femmes has become a prey for Lorena Wiebes on Thursday afternoon. Marianne Vos keeps the yellow jersey. The riders covered more than 175 kilometers between Bar-le-Duc and Saint-Dié-des-Vosges. That was also the longest distance the women have ever ridden in a UCI race.
