In 1985 the Oostland family took over the ship. Harry Oostland then motorized the ship because he wanted to be able to sail with his wife. With only the pusher of the ship, participation in current shipping traffic was actually no longer possible.

In addition, he wanted to put the ship back to sail. A lot of work, because other than often in the Chartervaart is the case, almost everything has been carried out with their own hands and resources. An attempt was made, despite the adaptation to the requirements of shipping and habitation, to pursue the appearance of a sail freight ship from 1915 as much as possible.

Partly because of this, the ship was nominated in 1995 for the monuments list of the National Register Sailing Monuments and was the first ship registered.

Sacha ten Hove and Bernard Kil become the fourth generation owners of the ship and, like the previous owners, will live on the ship. Wolting: “With our foundation we also thought of taking over the ship. But we would mainly use it decorative, while the added value of this ship is precisely because it is a home. I am happy that enthusiasts bought him.”

The Hoogeveen heritage can therefore continue to sail around in its original state for the time being.
