For years the opinion of one woman was relevant in Hilversum, namely that of the strict Angela de Jong. However, she stopped her TV column and that means that a place has been released: who will be the new Angela? Who will be the most feared critic in Hilversum from next season? There are two names obvious.

New Angela

Both Tina Nijkamp and Victor Vlam we see more and more appearing in talk shows and with that their TV mening only becomes more relevant. Whether they also in Angela’s spot in Ad Azen? Probably not. Tina already has a column, namely in De Telegraaf, and Victor seems to be a bit too conservative for the daily newspaper.

Tina also does not need a transfer. “With my column in De Telegraaf I am very happy, I think it even nicer than I thought, but I certainly don’t see myself as a successor to Angela de Jong,” she says in New Revu.

No reviews

According to Tina, her columns remain unchanged. “I have a different background, I have worked at the television. My columns are often not real reviews, but more contemplatively written pieces from behind the screens and from the operation of viewing figures. My approach is different.”

She continues: “I have sometimes met her behind the scenes, I thought she was very nice. Who is going to fill in the gap that has now been filled in? There are plenty of critical media thuiders, such as Victor Vlam and Mark Koster. I also dare to criticize presenters and programming. Whether the artists can breathe?

Does Victor want it?

Is Victor Open for a call from the AD? “Well no, not necessarily. Nowadays there are so many more ways to convey your thoughts; I don’t know if I still find a daily column so innovative. Moreover, Angela will just stay for the AD and the new TV columnist plays second violin anyway.”

“She stays the face of that newspaper. Her general column will remain on page 2, occasionally it will also be about television. So if something big happens, she writes about it and the TV reviewer has to arrive in it. She remains with one leg in the television world and that makes it very difficult for someone else in that newspaper.”
