WHO sounds the alarm: one in six infections worldwide is resistant to antibiotics

Globally, antibiotic resistance among bacteria has increased by 40 percent in five years. This was evident from a new report from the World Health Organization (WHO) on Monday. The increase leads to more and more so-called superbugs, which are resistant to traditional treatments.
