Who Sings Alongside Taylor Swift on “Midnight Rain”?

Taylor Swift’s new album “Midnights” has been out on Friday (October 21). The singer had increased the anticipation days before with interesting background information and also emphasized the personal dimension of the project.

Regardless of whether the alleged somnambulence is actually audible, Taylor Swift’s hardcore fans have something else on their minds besides their thoughts on their relationship: who is it that’s singing alongside the 32-year-old in the song “Midnight Rain”?

On the album’s sixth track (which is now also available in a longer “3am version”), Swift sings about the lingering effects of heartbreak and the journey that follows (“He was sunshine I was midnight rain / He wanted it comfortable I wanted that pain / He wanted a bride, I was making my own name”).

But then there is a quiet, depressed voice in the chorus that many cannot assign to Taylor Swift. A guest singer with no credit?

“Who is that voice on ‘Midnight Rain’? Is it just your modulated voice or is it someone else? ”Says a Twitter user, for example, representative of numerous network questions.

According to “Uproxx”, the resolution comes directly from one of Taylor Swift’s confidants: It’s the singer’s voice, just heavily reduced.
