Almost two and a half weeks before the Bundesliga start, many clubs are anything but powerful. In view of the tough transfer activities, the question arises: Who should contest the renewed championship for FC Bayern?

The Bundesliga will start the new season in two and a half weeks-and thus also the fight for the master shell. But who should hold FC Bayern from the title defense? Sales at Bayer Leverkusen, transfer flakes in Dortmund, rebuild in Leipzig – even if the Munich transfer summer is not necessarily run smooth, a serious championship competitor is not in sight. Or?

Bayer Leverkusen: The big sale

In the past two season, FC Bayern Bayer Leverkusen was called the biggest title competitor. Under coach Xabi Alonso, the championship was achieved in 2024. Last season, the Werkelf ended the season with 13 points behind as runner -up.

But now the radical break is in full swing: not only coach Alonso (to Real Madrid) Bayer turned his back on. With Jonathan Tah (FC Bayern)Granit Xhaka (AFC Sunderland), Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz (both FC Liverpool) Leverkusen lost his success.

Alonso successor Erik Ten HAG called for “four to five” new ones in the kicker, “to achieve the goal.” However, this is not the title, but: “to get over the top four”. New additions such as keeper Mark Flekken (FC Brentford) and Malik Tillman (PSV Eindhoven) cannot compensate for the painful departures.

Borussia Dortmund: Jobe Bellingham and who else?

Even with a permanent rival Borussia Dortmund, there is currently little happening – in view of the fourth and 25 points distance from FCB in the previous year there is no too good sign. So far, however, only replacement goalkeeper Patrick Drewes (VfL Bochum) and only 19-year-old Jobe Bellingham (AFC Sunderland) have been found. The previously borrowed full -back Daniel Svensson and Yan Couto were firmly signed. After the departures of Donyell Malen (in winter to Aston Villa) and Jamie Gitten (FC Chelsea), the BVB still has the need for the external positions.

A largely well -established team could mean an advantage over the competition. With Emre Can (31), Ramy Bensebaini (30), Waldemar Anton, Niklas Süle (both 29) or Patrick Groß (34) there is a handful of very experienced professionals. The final sprint under Niko Kovac with seven wins from the last eight games gives reason to hope that BVB has a powerful group.

RB Leipzig – New beginning without European Cup

RB Leipzig dares to start seventh and the missed participating in the European Cup – with a new trainer and a retired squad. Ole Werner is the name of the new one on the command bridge, but the most prominent names leave the ship: club “veteran” Yussuf Poulsen moved to the climber Hamburger SV. Xavi Simons and Benjamin Sesko are about to switch to the Premier League. Timo Werner and André Silva should also go.

For this, the bulls and Johan Bakayoko (22/PSV Eindhoven), Andrija Maksimovic (18/Red Stern Belgrade) and Yan Diomande (18/CD Leganes) fished. Leipzig speaks that you will have more regeneration time without Europe. In order to become dangerous to FC Bayern, the newly formed team has to catch up quickly and strike the talents.

Eintracht Frankfurt: Already ripe for the top?

In the last two seasons, Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart have also lit up. However, very few trust them to a role as the title candidate.

Eintracht has to cope with the departure of the next top striker – Hugo Ekitiké (15 goals of the season) will play at Liverpool FC from August. Previously, Omar Marmoush had left Hesse in winter (Manchester City). After all, Jonathan Burkhardt (1st FSV Mainz 05) was hired the best German Bundesliga shooter of the past season. Ritsu Doan is also said to come from SC Freiburg. Is that enough to attack at the forefront? Questionable.

VfB Stuttgart: Nick Woltemade as a signal

The Swabians want to keep their shooting star Nick Woltemade courted by FC Bayern and thus set an example. With the national players Deniz Undav, Jamie Leweling and Himedin Demirovic, you are well positioned on the offensive, even if there is midfielder Enzo Millot to Al-Nahli in Saudi Arabia.

To do this, the desired player for the other parts of the team hooks tremendously. In the effort for Caspar Jander (1. FC Nürnberg) and Giannis Konstantelias (Paok Saloniki), the VfB managers bit on granite. As with harmony, the fight for the European Cup places is realistic. But probably nothing more.
