Movie star Timothée Chalamet’s fans were both confused and disappointed that the mime was absent from the 2024 Academy Awards on Sunday, March 10.

“Where is he? Where is Timothee? We want to know please,” one person tweeted, while another wrote on social media: “Where the hell is Timothee #oscars.” Another fan could only express themselves in capitals and was practically shouting on X: “WHERE IS TIMOTHÉE CHALAMET #Oscars2024”. However, no explanation could be found.
Although the “Wonka” and “Dune” actor wasn’t nominated for any of his film projects at this year’s Academy show, many cineastes still expected him there. At least the 28-year-old New Yorker was last seen at the Golden Globes.
His absence from the awards show comes amid rumors that he and reality star Kylie Jenner have split after nearly a year of dating, as the two have not been seen together since January – following their appearance together at the Golden Globes. The breakup stories intensified after Jenner refused to mention the actor in her recent interview with The New York Times. When asked if she has changed her style since dating the actor, she replied: “I don’t know what I think about it. I just don’t want to talk about personal things.”
Timothée Chalamet can currently be seen in “Dune 2”, which opened in German cinemas on February 29th.
