With “Classic rockThe musician was actually talking about his new solo album “10,000 Volts”. Since the conversation took place shortly after Kiss’s stage farewell on December 2, 2023, the hard rock band also played a role. “Apparently they played their last show at Madison Square Garden,” Ace Frehley said. He had previously spoken out about the gig. Despite originally having other plans, he was never invited to the big career end of the group he co-founded. Now the conclusion is: “I’ve heard crazy rumors about them coming back from retirement. I hope not.” With regard to the past few years, in which Kiss has announced their end several times, the former band member said: “Do you really think that they are retired? I don’t think they’re going to retire – they’ve been doing this for twenty years.”

Kiss are “like brothers”

He himself isn’t thinking about quitting either: “I’ll keep going until the wheels fall off. Even if I end up in a wheelchair, I can still write songs.” He also had something to say about his future with Kiss: “They have two impostors on stage,” said Frehley. “Six or seven months ago they invited me and Peter to come to Madison Square Garden, and then last month before the show they bad-mouthed us. I don’t know if I’ll ever step on stage with them again, and I don’t care. I’m happy with my current band and my new album. Things are moving forward.” In the interview, he shared arguments with Paul Stanley, but also a conciliatory exchange with Kiss bassist and singer Gene Simmons. “We are like brothers,” is Fehley’s conclusion. “Brothers have arguments, brothers have misunderstandings, they curse each other, and then they make up again.”
