Every year, the gastronomic platform Taste Atlas it spreads lists of the best dishes and drinks, which it puts in the eyes of the world. This year, the rankings evaluated sandwiches, street foods and candies from all over the world. And through the vote of specialized users from different parts of the world, a Top 50 is formed. And it was a Latin American drink that was established as the best in the world in 2023.

It so happens that on this occasion, in the ranking of alcoholic beverages from around the world, the country that stood out the most was Mexico, since it managed to position more than four beverages within the ranking of TasteAtlas. He being the only one from Latin America to achieve that distinguished performance. And the number 1 position was occupied this time by Rested Tequila.

Tequila is considered the quintessential spirit drink in Mexico. Recognized nationally and internationally, so much so that great Hollywood celebrities, such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and George Clooney, they launched their own line. Those who know little is that the Aztec country has various types of tequila varieties, with different flavors and aromas.

The other variants positioned were: the “White Tequila” in position 13; “Añejo Tequila”, in place 14; he “Classic style tequila”, at position 16, the “Mezcal”in category 18 and the “Extra Añejo Tequila”, closing the Mexican representation, in position 30 of the payroll. Although mezcal is a drink on its own, it should be noted that by definition it applies to any variant of agave or maguey drink, including tequila.
