Last year, during corona, people decided more easily that they were going to buy that one set for the garden. It is tougher for our sellers now.”
“At this time of year, just before the summer, it is normal for sales in our sector to decline a bit,” adds Kees Hoogendijk, director of Koninklijke CBM, the trade association for interior construction and furniture industry. “But now there is really a significant decrease.” According to him, especially kitchen suppliers and bed and home stores are seeing their turnover decline.
