Weyts advocates a federal fireworks ban: “Still too many municipalities where every drunken uncle is allowed to shoot a flare around tonight”

The Flemish Minister of Animal Welfare Ben Weyts (N-VA) is calling for a new federal regulation regarding fireworks today, on the last day of the year. Weyts wants fireworks to be banned everywhere, unless they are allowed by the municipality at a well-chosen place and at a specific time.
