Weyes Blood will be embarking on an “In Holy Flux” tour in Europe next year. She also stops by for two live dates in Germany. In Berlin and Cologne she will present the songs from her new album “And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow” (to be released on November 18, 2022).
The ten tracks were written by Natalie Mering and co-produced again with Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado. The singer’s fifth studio album features guest appearances from Meg Duffy, Daniel Lopatin and Mary Lattimore and is the second in a trilogy following the ROLLING STONE acclaimed LP Titanic Rising.
“If ‘Titanic Rising’ functioned as an observation of impending doom, ‘And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow’ is about being in the thick of it: a quest for a way out to liberate us from algorithms and ideological chaos.” it in a press release. Natalie Mering: “We’re in a fully functional shit show. My heart is a glow stick that’s been cracked, lighting up my chest in an explosion of earnestness.”
The first single from the new album, “It’s Not Just Me, It’s Everybody”, can already be heard.
