In Wattrelos and Tourcoing, French job seekers were ready to find work in West Flanders this week. The Let’s Work employment agency organized a recruitment campaign to get vacancies at companies from the region filled.
“After a course as a bus driver, it is not easy to find work here,” says Jérémie Peere from Tourcoing. “I think it’s easier in Belgium.” Cédric Carmona from Wattrelos is also looking for his happiness just across the border: “I want to get started in logistics. And it is more pleasant to have something left at the end of the month than to work for nothing.”
