Werder Bremen wins clearly in Aue – and is about to rise

They have shown strong nerves: Werder Bremen is fighting for promotion, was a guest in Aue on Sunday – and was successful. With the win, Ole Werner’s club is back in front of HSV.

Hamburger SV managed to deliver on Saturday and thus jumped to second place behind Schalke. Werder Bremen was therefore under pressure on Sunday.

Ole Werner’s team had the chance to oust HSV again – they succeeded. Bremen scored 3-0.

That’s how the game went

Werder put pressure on Aue from the start. However, the goal didn’t work out in the first half. Bremen had chances, but the goal didn’t come until the beginning of the second half.

Marco Friedl scored the 1-0 (49th) after a pass by Leonardo Bittencourt and shot Hamburger SV from second place in the table for the moment. There were great chances on both sides and the next goal in added time. Niclas Füllkrug made it 2-0 (90′ + 2′) shortly before the end and Niklas Schmidt added another to make it 3-0 (90′ + 6′).

Bremen have 60 points and are ahead of Hamburger SV (57) and Darmstadt 98 (57).

Kiel against Nuremberg 3: 0 (2: 0)

Less than a quarter of an hour was played when Holstein Kiel scored the 1-0 (14th) at home through Steven Skrzybski and thus put Nuremberg under pressure. But instead of an answer, the storks continued to besiege the opposing penalty area. Shortly before the half-time whistle, Julian Korb then made it 2-0 (41st).
