New signing Naby Keita traveled to Werder Bremen’s eleven-day training camp in Austria on Wednesday despite his adductor injury.
The Bundesliga soccer team in Zillertal will be preparing for the new season with a total of 29 players until July 29th. The following applies to former Liverpool professional Keita: “We have optimal conditions there for his rehabilitation. He can also integrate further into the team there,” said coach Ole Werner.
28-year-old Keita suffered a muscular injury in his adductor area while warming up before the friendly against VfB Oldenburg on Sunday.
The Bremen team assume that their most prominent new signing will not be fit in time for the first Bundesliga game on August 18 against FC Bayern Munich.
