Werder Bremen is once again using VfL Wolfsburg’s young talent. After the signing of defensive talent Yasin Chebil for the coming season was already confirmed in the winter, two more talents are now about to move to the Weser. According to the “Deichstube” the transfers of playmaker Darwin Soylu and striker Karlo Simic are already fixed.

Soylu and Simic are the best scorers in Wolfsburg’s U19 this season. The German-Turkish Soylu, who has six international caps for the Turkish U19, had 15 goals and 19 assists in 25 appearances. Simic, Croatia’s junior international player born in Hamburg, often used his team partner’s assists with 22 goals (1 assist). Last weekend the Wolves failed in the round of 16 of the German A-Junior Championship against SC Paderborn, but there is still the DFB Cup final against VfB Stuttgart on May 22nd.
According to the report, both youngsters will receive a professional contract in Bremen, with Soylu in particular being lured with the prospect of playing in the Bundesliga. The 19-year-old had rejected an extension in Wolfsburg and, like Simic, is coming on a free transfer. The plan is to introduce the attacker to the professionals via the U23s.
