The transfer period has been over since Monday. Nevertheless, a Bundesliga club announced a new addition today on Thursday.

For a long time it was quiet around Werder Bremen in the transfer phase. With Maximilian Wöber and Samuel Mbangula, the North Germans had only signed two new additions until shortly before the start of the season. Then Karl Hein, Yukinari Sugawara, Isaac Schmidt and Victor Boniface followed. Last signed on the “Deadline Day” in Bremen.

But Boniface was not the last player that Werder announced as a new addition. This Thursday, the green and white Cameron Puertas presented on their website. The Spaniard, born in Switzerland, comes loan with a purchase option from the Saudi first division club Al-Qadsiah.

Coach Horst Steffen was happy about the urgently needed reinforcement: “Cameron can play several positions in midfield. He has broadcast on the previous stations, but also acted as a preparatory. He brings a lot with football and tactical and also has a good pace and is strong.”

Puertas only moved to Saudi Arabia a year ago, came from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise from Belgium for more than 15 million euros, where he also played together with the Bremern Senne Lynen and Victor Boniface. At Werder, he is now supposed to strengthen the creative center, which was weakened after Marvin Ducksch’s departure.

Incidentally, there was no exception for the transfer rules for the transfer. According to the “picture” and the “dike room”, the change has been fixed since the weekend. However, the last details between the clubs should have been clarified when distributing the salary, since Puertas in Saudi Arabia earn six million euros a year. According to the “picture”, Al-Qadsiah also insists that the deal will only become official in the middle of the week.
