For a long time it was quiet around Werder Bremen in the transfer phase. But Boniface was not the last player that Werder announced as a new addition. This Thursday, the green and white Cameron Puertas presented on their website. The Spaniard, born in Switzerland, comes loan with a purchase option from the Saudi first division club Al-Qadsiah.

Coach Horst Steffen was happy about the urgently needed reinforcement: “Cameron can play several positions in midfield. He has broadcast on the previous stations, but also acted as a preparatory. He brings a lot with football and tactical and also has a good pace and is strong.”

Puertas only moved to Saudi Arabia a year ago, came from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise from Belgium for more than 15 million euros, where he also played together with the Bremern Senne Lynen and Victor Boniface. At Werder, he is now supposed to strengthen the creative center, which was weakened after Marvin Ducksch’s departure.
