Wendy disappoints

No wonder that SBS 6 starts in the middle of the summer with the new season of the Wendy van Dijk show Wie Kent Nederland. One of the panel members, Rob Kemps, will start as the new presenter of Ik Hou Van Holland after the summer. And let Wie Kent Nederland just get a cheap one rip off are of that program.

Wendy does not charm the viewer. The kick-off of the second season of Wie Kent Nederland last week, directly opposite the match for the Johan Cruijff scale, attracted 390 thousand viewers to SBS 6. And yesterday, without a much-watched football match on the other side, there were even fewer: 346 thousand (10 percent market share).

Repetitions score better

It’s crying with the hat on for Wendy. Right in front of her, all kinds of reruns managed to captivate more viewers. With Van der Laan and Woe: Pesetas, NPO 1 attracted 637 thousand viewers (19 percent) in the rematch and RTL 4 recorded 506 thousand viewers (15 percent) with the Chantal Janzen repeat Oh Wat Een Jaar.

Those were also the most watched programs in prime time. “Watched very little TV yesterday. Also no program, except Journaal, exceeds the million”, analyzes former SBS 6 boss Tina Nijkamp.

Canal Parade

The other prime-time titles most viewed were NPO 2’s Nieuwsuur (486 thousand), Kom Een Man Bij De Dokter (394 thousand) and Holland-Belgium (388 thousand).

In the afternoon, the report of the Canal Parade in Amsterdam attracted 335 thousand viewers (46 percent) on NPO 1.

Viewing figures

Programs that did not make the top 15 include Grantchester (351 thousand), Fortuna Sittard – Ajax (338 thousand) and Shownieuws (328 thousand).
