Welcome Back: Wolvenhertroduction key role in recovery native forests in Scotland

According to research from the University of Leeds, the reintroduction of wolves into the Scottish Highlands can lead to an extension of indigenous forests that could possibly store up to 1 million tonnes of CO2 per year. Scientists estimate that a wolf population of 167 animals would be sufficient to limit the red deer population to a level at which trees can restore naturally.
